DIY Alphabet Canvas

Hey guys!!!

I’m so excited to share with you how I made this super cute canvas for Brenalynn’s room. It turned out so cute and I love it sooooo much!

So first things first, here’s what I used!

  • Blank canvas
  • ABC stickers (dollar store)
  • Pink Glitter Paint
  • Purple Metalic Paint
  • White Metalic Paint
  • Paint brushes (big and small)
  • White Sharpie Paint Pen

Once I had all of my supplies I started with the stickers! I placed them in an order I liked and started thinking about how I wanted the background to look. This took some time because I knew I wanted the letters to be pink and purple but I wanted the background to match but be subtle.

I ended up mixing the white with the pink and purple and doing one half light pink and one half light purple. I really liked how that turned out!

Then after letting it dry I carefully peeled the stickers off to get to the white spaces underneath. I recommend really making sure the stickers are stuck pretty well before painting over them, to avoid leaks. Also if your stickers are pulling up the paint you can lightly use an Exacto knife, just be careful not to cut your canvas.

I also REALLY loved how the white looked with the background but I was dumb and had traced around the letters before I knew what my plan was. So if you like the white letters you could totally just border them with the White Sharpie Paint Pen. Super Cute!

But I wanted COLORFUL!  So I painted in each letter with alternating colors, I needed a few coats with the paint I got, it was pretty thin. I’m also terrible with keeping paint in the lines so that’s why I used the White Sharpie Paint Pen. I so loved how it was turning out!

I also forgot to get an in between picture while I painted so I hope that explains enough for you to get your own done!
